Golf Clubs near Birmingham

Find your nearest golf course or club or golf pro in or around Birmingham. Actually this is really great way to see all the golf courses around West Midlands at a glance. You will see distances and directions from you location and of course the all-important telephone number to check green fees and whether you can play when you want to play. Whenever I want to play it seems to be a Medal Day!

Tip! If you would like a cheap round of golf ask whether they do a Twilight rate. There is really nothing nicer than 9 holes after work - at half price!

Golf Courses

Golfbug - The Wast Hills Golf Centre

300 Redhill Rd, Birmingham B38 9EL, UK – 0121 459 7767

First time I've been here in years. Much better than it used to be. Lots of bays. The machine for the balls didn't take care payment unless I spent £20 (if memory serves me correctly) so if you want to hit a few balls you need cash

Nice place to use the range. Condition is OK but the prices reflect that. Pitch and putt is again a good small course. Good all round

Moseley Golf Club

Do you really need to buy new golf irons and drivers? if so this is a really practical little video about buying the golf clubs and equipment that you actually need. Golf Equipment

Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre

Alcester Rd S, Kings Heath, Birmingham B14 6ER, UK – 0121 516 5641

The Pool is dated and a stupid shape, better for kids to play than for real swimming. The gym however is excellent, absolutely huge and very well equipped with up-to-date and well maintained equipment. The fierce air conditioning makes a work out a pleasure, and there's little delay in getting on whatever equipment you need even at busy times. Changing rooms are clean and modern - all in all it's a great and cost effective gym.

Being able to book online is great....if only the scanners worked when you got there! Your place in the is class reserved but still have to queue up at reception to check in. That doesn't necessarily mean that you ARE checked in - I attended an evening class last week & my app says that I didn't attend. Apparently if you don't turn up for a class that you've booked online you are normally fined. Also the air conditioning in studio 2 doesn't work - it has been almost unbearable during the recent heatwave!
